I’ve been working on some new compositions and decided to share a bit of this one, which started to take form this week. I’ve decided to call it ‘Social Split’ given everything I see happening in the world and around me. It’s almost like this whole situation is becoming a religious fight between people who follow the mainstream media narrative and people who don’t. Only time will tell but one way or another the truth can’t be hidden for too long and it’s not a matter of who’s right or who isn’t but really how can we transcend our differences and even beliefs but at the same time open ourselves to more universal ideas of consciousness and our connection to Mother Nature, which clearly is one of the main issues of the modern world and our entire society. All and all, I’m just expressing some ideas here.
Hope you enjoy this mysterious unfinished tune! 🎸🎶🌀
This whole quarantine situation has made tune into the power of music like never before. It took a while getting used to the new routine and all the changes but it’s also made me understand in a deeper level why I do music and why I want to share it. Beyond playing a bunch of notes or entertaining an audience my true calling has always been that in which people go into an inner experience through these sounds, in the same way that it happens to me. I call this experience ‘channeling sounds’ and it’s a state in which I feel that in a way I disappear and all that’s left is just life itself expressing through me, it’s not just me playing but something beyond words and concepts that takes place and I can only become one with it. The state that I’m describing happens for me mainly through improvisation and this is what I’ve been sharing during my livestreams, most of the loops and everything else is completely improvised in the moment and that is my way to tune into this higher consciousness that connects us all.
This video is a demonstration of what I’m doing during my livestreams, taking place every Thursday on Instagram (link below) at 10pm (UK/Irish time). I will possibly start doing them in other platforms too but for now Instagram is the one I’ve chosen to do so.
Feel free to join me if this resonates with you and let’s have an experience together in which you can also dive deep into yourself, reflect, let go of things holding you back and hopefully find new inspirations.
Anyone up for a party with some acoustic guitar electronic beat?? Who needs a DJ these days? 😅 Jokes apart, I was just messing around with this and thought I’d share it. There’s ‘mistakes’ and all but I wanna share more random stuff like this so whatever. Ain’t nobody got time for perfection. If it makes you wanna dance let me know! 🕺🏼💃🏼
Here’s a live recording of my song ‘Expanding Blues’ from my very first album ‘Days Ahead’, which you can find on Spotify (https://spoti.fi/2ZFWQrY) or all other major streaming platforms.
I used a Canon M50 for the video and recorded the audio straight from an Acus Amplifier using the Rode i-XY. Thank you for watching and enjoy! 👽🎶🎸
I started composing music in this style of playing the guitar back in 2014. This album contains compositions that I wrote since that year until 2019. It was a much longer process than I intended but I’m happy with the way things happened because everything has its own unique rhythm and flow.
The first composition would be track 2 called ‘Beholding You’ and it’s a very emotional one for me during a time I experienced what I guess people can define as ‘love at first sight’, from both people at the same time. As a result from that beautiful and touching experience this song came to exist!
I’ve decided to share the album for free for you to listen to here but you can also buy your physical copy through my website and if not, you can also contribute with donations that help me in the process of bringing more music into the world! 🙂
Days Ahead Live at BelloBar Dublin
Here’s a live video of the launch gig back in September 2019. I wanted to organize the gig earlier that year and closer to the date of the official release but due to many circumstances I had to wait a bit longer. It turned out to be one of the rainiest days we had in Ireland during 2019 so you can imagine the hassle and of course not many people could attend either, but that also made it quite a unique, intimate and cozy experience that had its own beauty as well.
This song represents to me the years of work as a musician and the personal accomplishment of having recorded and released an album in the style of guitar playing I love the most. I look forward to continuing the music path, keep composing and sharing music in the future and this is what I plan to do in the ‘Days Ahead’.
