Hidden Dimensions (live session)

Hidden Dimensions (live session)

Here’s an original composition and first collab with my talented friend Pete Izzard who came visit Dublin for a few days and this song came out of our first jam together! We’ve called it ‘Hidden Dimensions’ based on some of our deep talks about life, the universe and how little we know about the full spectrum of reality. Thank you for watching and enjoy! ๐Ÿ‘ฝ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽธ

Here’s a live recording of my song ‘Expanding Blues’ from my very first album ‘Days Ahead’, which you can find on Spotify (https://spoti.fi/2ZFWQrY) or all other major streaming platforms.

Days Ahead

Days Ahead

My first album is finally here!

I started composing music in this style of playing the guitar back in 2014. This album contains compositions that I wrote since that year until 2019. It was a much longer process than I intended but I’m happy with the way things happened because everything has its own unique rhythm and flow.

The first composition would be track 2 called ‘Beholding You’ and it’s a very emotional one for me during a time I experienced what I guess people can define as ‘love at first sight’, from both people at the same time. As a result from that beautiful and touching experience this song came to exist!

I’ve decided to share the album for free for you to listen to here but you can also buy your physical copy through my website and if not, you can also contribute with donations that help me in the process of bringing more music into the world! ๐Ÿ™‚

Days Ahead Live at BelloBar Dublin

Here’s a live video of the launch gig back in September 2019. I wanted to organize the gig earlier that year and closer to the date of the official release but due to many circumstances I had to wait a bit longer. It turned out to be one of the rainiest days we had in Ireland during 2019 so you can imagine the hassle and of course not many people could attend either, but that also made it quite a unique, intimate and cozy experience that had its own beauty as well.

This song represents to me the years of work as a musician and the personal accomplishment of having recorded and released an album in the style of guitar playing I love the most. I look forward to continuing the music path, keep composing and sharing music in the future and this is what I plan to do in the ‘Days Ahead’.

Candy 66 – Su | Original Fingerstyle Arrangement

Candy 66 – Su | Original Fingerstyle Arrangement

Here’s my arrangement of ‘Su’ by Venezuelan band Candy 66. They were a big influence and inspiration for me back in the early 2000’s and I thought it would be great to do a rendition of one of my favorite songs by them. I experimented a lot with this piece, including some percussive elements, harmonics, two-handed tapping and an alternate tuning.

Special thanks to Linn Hansen (www.linnhansen.net) for creating this video and to my brother Al Palma (www.al-palma.com) for creating the logo animation at the end. I’d also like to thank Jean De Oliveira, singer/guitarist of Candy 66 for his support over the years and for being an inspiration.
